I am a master`s graduate with a dual degree in Journalism and Computer Science from Columbia University, New York. I received my bachelor`s in computer science from Amrita School of Engineering and have previously worked as a software programmer for Infosys Limited and investment bank Goldman Sachs. In my recent stint, I interned as a data journalist and reporter at Financial Planning covering FinTech, cryptocurrencies and wealth management. I am currently a software engineer developing news products for Scroll.in, and a research contributor at Metafact, a Delhi-based fact-check startup that employs a mix of NLP and AI-driven approaches to tackle fake news and disinformation.

Shane Shifflett is a data reporter for The Wall Street Journal specializing in analysis and visualization. Before joining the Journal, he worked for The Huffington Post covering a range of topics from the business of college athletics to the World Bank`s policies protecting indigenous people. He is one of FOIA Machine`s founders—a crowd-funded, open source FOIA tracking website that is now part of MuckRock—and teaches journalism at The New School.

Anna writes about blockchain projects and regulation with a special focus on Eastern Europe and Russia. She joined CoinDesk after years of writing for various Russian media, including the leading political outlet Novaya Gazeta. Anna owns a fraction of ETH.
