Biography

My name is Aaron Jackson and I am a sports writer for Gold Country Media in Placer County. I have been writing specifically for the Lincoln News Messenger for the last four years beginning as a golf columnist before getting hired as a stringer in early 2018. I am currently a senior at Sacramento State University and am majoring in journalism with a minor in communication studies. I first began writing with my high school newspaper Zebra Tales and eventually became sports editor my junior and senior years before I entered college. I wrote for the State Hornet at Sac State during the 2018-19 academic year and gained a great amount of experience in multimedia journalism along with working with peers and editors.
