(KKTV) - A man who said he witnessed the Turkey Tracks Fire spark over the weekend is calling for those responsible to be brought to justice. The man, wanting to be identified only as Sean, said he was at the Turkey Tracks shooting area on Saturday, along with several others who went out to shoot guns. The area, while not officially a shooting range, is known by locals as a place to shoot guns, according to the U.S. Forest Service.

That’s according to the U.S. Forest Service, who has been providing updates as crews work to contain the Turkey Tracks fire. As of Sunday evening, the fire s 45% contained. The fire sparked on Saturday north of Woodland Park near a shooting range of the same name. It prompted a response from several agencies in both Douglas and Teller counties, as well as the U.S. Forest Service.
