(WKBT) -- The Wisconsin DNR is reminding people that safety comes first as many Wisconsinites head out on the water this summer. Nearly 80% of all fatal boating incidents involve drowning. DNR officials are encouraging people to wear lifejackets at all times and said drowning can happen to even the most experienced swimmers. The DNR also said to limit the amount of alcohol consumed while out on the water.
