It’s called ‘school calendar flexibility: a new alternative.’While this would impact all NC schools, Carteret County already faced pushback on their proposed calendar, when trying to start school two weeks earlier than normal. In February, the board decided to continue with a traditional calendar for the next school year. That’s after a group of business owners sued them.
