But as river levels rise, dams are operated by the Miami Conservancy District to prevent catastrophic flooding. The Taylorsville dam is just one of five dams built by the Miami Conservancy District after the Great Dayton Flood of 1913.

Miamisburg Police say detectives from the Tactical Crime Suppression Unit, the TCSU SWAT team and Miamisburg police, executed three search warrants that came out of a long-term drug trafficking investigation. That investigation involves several people who are believed to be working with one another and trafficking methamphetamine and vaping products to juveniles.
