She was 57. Ms. Sieger’s history in Kingsbridge Heights was filled with strikes, court battles and scandal. She acquired the 400-bed nursing home, one of the largest in the Bronx, in 1994, with money she received from a family trust left by her parents.

A law requiring all city agencies, commissions and task forces to webcast their public meetings and hearings took effect this week, but most of those entities are failing to comply. By Adam Wisnieski| The Riverdale Press Verified By Adam WisnieskiHelene Zucker Seeman, a longtime Riverdale resident, was killed in a car crash in Montgomery, N.J. on June 27. She was 60 years old. Late last month, Ms. Zucker Seeman and her husband, Fred Seeman, were hit by a 2007 Chevy Tahoe driven by actress Amy Locane-Bovenizer, according to Montgomery police. The car struck the passenger side where Ms. Zucker Seeman was sitting. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
