Adesola is a multiple award-winning multimedia journalist, communications specialist, public relations strategist and project manager, with years of production experience in a digital journalism environment. She is also a film reviewer. She is a graduate of English Language from the University of Lagos [Nigeria] and holds an MA in Journalism & Media Communications from the University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom. A well-travelled journalist, Adesola is a Fellow of several journalism bodies and has undergone further professional training in a handful of countries. She is passionate about gender inequity and regularly works with nongovernmental organisations, lawmakers, ministries, departments and agencies in the pursuit of gender equity and giving voice to the voiceless. Working in collaboration with the National Agency for AIDS Control, she followed up with then chairman, House Committee on HIV/AIDS, Malaria Control, TB and Leprosy, Hon. Joseph Kigbu, to facilitate the passage of HIV/AIDS Anti-Discrimination Act 2014. As Editor of nascent health website https://healthwise.punchng.com/ Adesola negotiated, applied for and secured from Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation a $2.1m grant for PUNCH Health Vertical Project. She supervised the development of website for the project, and currently produces engaging quality content that speaks to our audience and boosts engagement with our brand. She grew the new website's page views from zero to nearly three million views within 12 months of website launch; and a total of 1.4m users with over 88,000 and still counting returning visitors. Adesola has run the entire gamut of journalism practice, having successfully transitioned from print to multimedia journalism. She also takes photographs and is good with Adobe CS3 package, while also using software apps such as 'remove bg' and 'canva' in photo editing and infographics. She mentors young journalists in the art of the profession.
