Biography

I've been working as a journalist for the past 10 years. Currently, I am a freelancer, looking for a direction after graduating with an MA from City, University of London. During my career, I've covered extensively labour migration, bringing attention to the abuses encountered by foreign workers coming to Romania, but also by Romanian workers in Western Europe, with a focus on slaughterhouses in the Netherlands. Now, my focus is the environment. I've investigated bilge dumping in European seas in a cross-border project led by Lighthouse Reports. I've also wrote on climate litigation, the farmers' protests, and worked on two cross-border investigations on the impact of the climate crisis on farmers' mental health and the depletion of groundwater in the EU. Currently exploring questions around rewildering of the European bison, and what does wilderness even means in the EU.
