I'm a senior journalism major at Howard University. My interest in journalism started at a young age, garnering me my mother's nickname of "her little journalist." As an aspiring arts & culture and human interest journalist, this passion has guided my educational and professional endeavors. I currently serve as the Variety Editor at The Hilltop, Howard University's student newspaper and the nation's oldest Black collegiate newspaper. Previously, I've interned at The Washington Post, CNN and PBS Newshour. At each place I’ve been able to focus on topics I love, learn about new things, and meet people from all walks of life. I’ve been able to shine light on previously untold stories and see the impact that reporting has on communities. I am eager to continue contributing to the journalism field with my varied skills.
