Alberto Medina is a Puerto Rico-born, U.S.-based writer, editor, and advocate for Puerto Rico's decolonization and independence. His writing has appeared in The Hill, The New Republic, Current Affairs, The Latino Newsletter, The Fulcrum, El Nuevo Día, and other publications. He is the president of Boricuas Unidos en la Diáspora, an organization of Puerto Ricans in the United States who organize for political action on decolonization and other issues affecting Puerto Rico.
