The flight was United Airlines Flight UA71, and it was headed from Amsterdam to Newark Airport in New Jersey. According to Shaun's Aviation on X, the flight's pilots requested medical services met them on stand once they landed. The aircraft landed safely just before 12:30pm in Dublin, and was met by rescue vehicles.

Met Eireann has issued the warning for the capital, as well as Louth, Meath, Wexford, and Wicklow today. The national forecaster says rain will "become heavy at times and persistent" with a risk of spot flooding. The warning kicks into effect at 9pm tonight, and will last until 2pm on Wednesday.
