Biography
Alex Mohajer is an award-winning independent political writer, and a lifelong activist and organizer. He has bylines at HuffPost, USA Today, and Medium. From 2020 to 2021, he hosted the AM Report on Happs News, a daily multicast that earned more than 1 million views in which he covered current events. In 2018, he received the Excellence in Journalism Award for Excellence in Feature Writing from the National Association of LGBTQ Journalists. Politically, he is the first Iranian American and first millennial President of the Stonewall Democrats, one of the nation's oldest and largest LGBTQ+ political advocacy organizations. In 2020, as its Public and Media Relations Director, he executive produced the 2020 National Vote-at-Home Initiative. For his activism, he was awarded the 2020 Harry S. Truman Award from the Democratic Party of the San Fernando Valley. He is a UC Berkeley alum and holds a Juris Doctor degree from Chapman University School of Law.
