Rapid City Parks Landscape Architect Melissa Petersen says everyone is welcome and there will be fun keepsakes for the kids. The community celebration will take place Friday, August 16 from 3:30-5:45 p.m. and will include speakers such as Mayor Jason Salamun. The public will get a chance to view the $3.6 million upgrades to the park that have been in the making for nearly two years.
