But did you know that Dyersville, Iowa (the town where the movie was set and where the field still stands proud) is a doable day trip from the Madison, WI area? It’s just under 2 hours away – depending on what part of Madison you reside in. Plus, there’s lots to see and do in Dubuque if you have more time to spend (or if you want to do a weekend getaway or overnight!).

By Alisa Sleep| MadisonMom@ One of my favorite things about 2020 was that it prompted my family to look for more outdoor activities, hikes and adventures. One of our very first hikes was at Gibraltar Rock State Natural Area in Lodi, WI. Gibraltar Rock State Natural Area is about is 68 acres in size, and is located on the 1,000-mile-long Ice Age Trail. The Gibraltar bluff stands 1,234 feet above sea level; and 200 feet above the surrounding landscape, Gibraltar Rock is a flat-topped butte.
