Biography
An enthusiastic climate journalist with a knack in telling compelling stories of refugees in Uganda. I am the voice from the underreported, mastering freelance journalism at Morris Journalism Academy Australia with an ambition to tell in-depth and data-driven stories from the community to the international media. With more than half a decade of reporting experience for print, radio and online media, I go deeper to uncover the solution side of the refugees in Uganda. A graduate from Makerere University Business School and a 2022 fellow at One World Media UK and Minority Africa, I’m pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business Administration at Ndejje University. Between 2020 and 2022, I produced nearly 150 community radio programmes for refugees in Uganda’s Omugo refugee settlement including those that helped in the response against the global coronavirus disease 2019 and the relief cuts to over 1.5 million refugees in Uganda. My work featured in Minority Africa, The Niles, Catholic Radio Network, Cross Border Network and several South Sudan’s newspapers.
