Court records show that Allstate Bail Bonds posted the bond and Jose Flores III was released on March 26. Flores has been charged in the July 9, 2023 murder of 32-year-old Semagea Smith and 28-year-old Dequincton Taylor.

Amarillo Police Department, in collaboration with the North Texas Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC), recently concluded the second annual Operation Janus. This joint operation took place from January 15 to February 2, and led to the arrest of 47 people charged with various sex crimes against children.
