  • Union Kitchen and Compass Coffee join forces to offer free entrepreneurship classes

    By Allyson Jacob| elevationdcmedia.com@ Union Kitchen, a food incubator in Northeast,  and Compass Coffee, a neighborhood java joint in Shaw, have teamed up to create Made in DC, a non-profit that will "support and expand opportunities available to local food businesses," according to a press release. To jump start the nonprofit, Made in DC is raising $10,000 via a crowdfunded loan on Kiva Zip. The loan is currently 31 percent funded, with 17 days left in the campaign.
