Lincoln Stanger had spent over a year at the Boston Children’s Hospital, awaiting a donor heart. After a successful transplant, Lincoln was discharged from the hospital on March 20, and state police from both Connecticut and Massachusetts escorted him from Boston to his home in East Haddam. Lincoln’s father is a detective with the Connecticut State Police.
