Biography

Andrea Miller is a video journalist for CNBC Digital Video, covering economics, commodities and agriculture on the Markets and Politics team. She produces short documentaries covering the interaction of business, policy and climate. Andrea created and produces CNBC's "Weird Economy" series, uncovering the invisible market forces shaping our global marketplace — from a looming rubber shortage and soil erosion to global supply chain chaos and the prevalence of counterfeit food. She also reports on central banking and contributes to CNBC's "Fed Notes" series, exploring the role of The Federal Reserve and the impact of monetary policy. Previously with CNBC, Andrea was an associate producer with Digital Video's News & Programming team where she covered breaking news, finance and business. She produced original long-form and short-form videos in addition to coordinating CNBC TV coverage for online publication. Andrea was honored as one of Temple University's 30 Under 30 in 2024. In 2022, she was selected as a SABEW Goldschmidt Data Immersion fellow. Andrea has also spent time volunteering and mentoring young writers with Girls Write Now. Prior to CNBC, Andrea worked at ABC News covering tech and business news as well as producing ABC News Live. She started her business journalism career as a Dow Jones News Fund fellow in 2017 covering retail and the promotional products industry with the Advertising Specialty Institute's trade publications. Andrea graduated with a M.S. in Business Journalism from Arizona State University. She earned her bachelor's degree from Temple University in Media Studies and Production, concentrating in Media Business and minoring in Environmental Studies.
