  • ‘Intense discounts’ fuel record £14.6bn festive grocery sales

Total till sales growth at UK supermarketsslowed to 3.2% in the four weeks ending 28 December 2024, down from 3.7% the previous month. However, after a slow start to the month, food sales led growth in the final three weeks leading up to Christmas.
