Biography

In 2015, when my health took a dive, and all of my experience from working in labor-intensive fields was no longer of any use, I had to find a way to make money with my brain instead of my hands. My first full year as a freelance journalist was 2017, coincidentally the same year some "very fine people" decided to come to my hometown of Charlottesville, Virginia. With no shortage of headlines that year, I quickly found myself covering some of the highest profile stories in my area, and my reporting on these started getting attention. By 2019, I had become one of the most awarded freelance contributors in the history of my local paper. I've worked hard to continue this upward trajectory for the past 8 years, and I'm currently contributing for Cville Weekly in Charlottesville and working on my first novel, Snakecharmer.
