I'm a 20-something sports reporter based in Texas. I have previously worked as a sports reporter and Texas regional editor for SBLive Sports, the high school sports arm of Sports Illustrated. I also previously served as a sports reporter, copy editor and podcast producer for The Monitor – McAllen, Texas' newspaper of record since 1909 – and RGVSports.com, the leading online site devoted to covering high school sports in the Rio Grande Valley. I also serve as the co-host of the RGV Sports Show podcast. I formerly wrote for the Columbia Missourian and The Maneater in Columbia, Missouri. I graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism in December 2018 with a Bachelor's Degree in Print & Digital News with an emphasis in sports journalism and a business minor.

Follis struck out three consecutive batters in the seventh inning to escape a bases-loaded jam. The junior ace allowed only one hit and one walk while striking out 13 batters. Follis also contributed an RBI triple in the eighth inning to help secure the win and the district title for Stamford. Stamford is aiming for its first state championship since 2023.
