Biography

Andrew Minegar currently works at MIRS following a 10-year stint with CBS affiliate WWMT News Channel 3 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Prior to working with WWMT, Minegar graduated with a degree in Journalism from Western Michigan University (WMU). He also founded a chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists at WMU and served as an intern at WMUK 102.1, an NPR-affiliate in Kalamazoo. As well as freelance work with several organizations in West Michigan since 2004. During his time at WWMT he broke several national stories, including a mass shooting by an Uber driver. His video journalism work was featured on national CBS and CNN, along with being syndicated across the local television stations around the country.
