Andrew Travers is a Colorado-based journalist and former editor of the Aspen Times. For the past 15 years his award-winning work has chronicled mountain town life and the extremes of Aspen. His writing has been published in The Atlantic, U.S. News and World Report, the Colorado Sun, Denver Post and many other newspapers. He has covered the arts, mountain subcultures, social justice, housing, politics and most every aspect of ski country. His journalism has earned awards from the Associated Press, Society of Professional Journalists, American Society of Journalists and Authors, Colorado Press Association and Local Media Association. His work as a press freedom advocate has also been covered by the New York Times, Poynter, Denver Post and additional outlets. Travers is also a longtime moderator and public interviewer for the Aspen Institute, where he now serves as a manager of educational programs. He is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists and board member of the Sopris Sun.
