From today, parents and carers will be able to check their application to see whether they have been successful. Almost 95 per cent of applicants in the Dorset Council area have been offered their first choice of primary school for reception. Over 98 per cent have been offered their middle school of choice.

  • Man due to appear in court after three people are seriously injured in two-car collision in East Dorset

At around 9.30pm on Monday 5th August last year, Dorset Police received a report of a two-vehicle road traffic collision on Wimborne Road East near Ferndown. It was reported that a black Audi A1 failed to stop for officers in the area of the Canford Bottom Roundabout, before it made off towards Stapehill and collided with a blue Vauxhall Zafira near the Pure Drop pub.
