A soft opening was held Saturday and the pro shop officially opened Sunday, offering players the chance to play at the historic location for the first time in 13 years. In preparation of opening day, a total of 38 people were invited to play the course Saturday for the soft opening of the course. With temperatures soaring, many players stopped the course after playing nine holes of golf.

Durkin Verified| The Journal Verified MARTINSBURG — After a lengthy period of roundtable meetings, public comment and revisions, the Berkeley County Commission voted unanimously to approve the adoption of the amended Berkeley County Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance during a regular meeting Thursday. “It’s been a process to get this going through,” President Jim Whitacre said. At the meeting, there were no members of the public who addressed the commission.
