Biography

Angélique Roché, is an attorney, professional host, moderator, voiceover artist, journalist, and content creator. Angélique has contributed to NBC News, Black Girl Nerds, Syfy Wire, Marvel.com, Nerdist, and Rewire News. She is currently the host of Marvel Entertainment's Marvel's Voices podcast and former on-air contributor and host of the podcasts Brave New Pod and Geeksplain for Syfy Wire and host of New York Public Radio’s (WNYC) live monthly show and podcast “Very Biggest Questions” at The Greene Space. She is also the creator and producer of her own live stream content, including her video conversation series and podcast Creative Quarantine. In 2018, she co-created the live show and podcast The Radical Geeks with her friend and colleague Karama Horne, aka TheBlerdGurl. She also co-hosts The Women of Marvel Podcast. In addition, Angélique has done work as a part-time host for SiriusXM and voiceover and digital video work for various companies including Vox Creative. Prior to working as a full-time creative, Angélique created communications infrastructures and crafted narratives for organizations and various issue and political campaigns. Most recently, she was the Interim President for Meridian Solutions a boutique communications firm in DC, and previously served as the Vice President for External Affairs at the Ms. Foundation for Women. In 2014 she served as the campaign manager for 2014’s Democratic candidate for Ohio Secretary of State, making her the first African-American woman to run a statewide campaign in Ohio. In addition, she has provided strategic storytelling, branding, and infrastructure consulting to local, state, national and international organizations and campaigns.. Angélique is on the advisory boards of KAPGW focused on elevating the voices of women "living-out-loud" and Lesbians Who Tech, a national organization focused on diversifying both race and gender in tech-related fields. She has received a number of awards including, the EnVest Foundation’s National Capital Region’s 40 Under 40, Apex Society’s 30 Under 30, and the Southern University Law Center’s Young Trailblazer Award. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity, Phi Alpha Delta International Law Fraternity, the Louisiana State Bar Association, and the American Inns of Court. Angelique is a graduate of Southern University and A & M College, the Southern University Law Center, and The George Washington University Law School. In addition, she is a graduate of the Women's Campaign School at Yale and the Princeton Alumni Corps fellowship for non-profit professionals. She's studied Public Relations at NYU and Improv at the Magnet Theater.
