The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has called for a ban on the film, which is directed by and stars Kangana as former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami criticised the film, claiming it portrays Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, who is recognised as a martyr by the Akal Takht Sahib, in a negative light.
