Biography

I am an emerging storyteller passionate about investigative and data-driven reporting. Through my experiences—such as attending the Democratic National Convention for Syracuse.com, serving as an Investigative Fellow at The Evening Sun and interning with USA TODAY Network—I’ve developed a strong foundation in political reporting. At the DNC, I learned how to localize national stories for Central New York, focusing on local concerns like poverty and public health. My time in Chenango County taught me how rural communities engage with politics, while my data journalism work on police-involved car crashes sharpened my research and analytical skills. Currently, I am continuing my focus on public health issues as a News Intern at Syracuse.com, where I am reporting on the region’s overdose and maternal death crises. These experiences have reinforced my belief that effective political reporting connects national issues to real-life impacts. I am eager to work with experienced professionals to develop my skills further.
