By Anna Guber Verified| WPTZ-TV (South Burlington, VT) Verified On Jan. 6, 2018, Gregory Davis answered the door of his Danville, VT home, to a man claiming to be a U.S. Marshal, telling Davis he was under arrest. The next day Davis was found dead in handcuffs on a snowy Vermont road with multiple gunshot wounds. In the years that followed, investigators have made four arrests in connection with his murder.

When police arrived on the scene behind Ethan Allen Ave in Colchester, they found a male lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. Officials said the victim was transported to UVM Medical Center and is currently in critical condition. Police believe this is an isolated incident and that there is no threat to the public.
