Biography
When I was a kid, I got kicked off Romper Room for being “too rambunctious.” Looking back, it was undiagnosed ADHD, but I think of it as my origin story. I am insatiably curious, obnoxiously determined, and may have a slight problem playing by the rules. Which works out, because rule-breakers change history. And I want to move things forward, no matter the sandbox I’m playing in. That mindset shapes how I lead communications at Korn Ferry Institute, Korn Ferry’s research arm. I built the function from the ground up and now oversee its editorial strategy and content operations. Since stepping into the role, we’ve grown our thought leadership and unique page visitors by double digits, and we helped launch campaigns that’ve supported over $1M in pipeline leads. But metrics don’t matter unless the words do. And for me, the message has always mattered. I started my career in investigative journalism, reporting for outlets like Rolling Stone, Esquire, Teen Vogue, and the Austin Chronicle. I covered public health issues, systemic inequities, and flawed public policies, while also decoding complex science and demystifying drugs. One piece even helped change housing law in Pennsylvania. That same need to inform and impact deepened after surviving both kidney and thyroid cancer in less than four years. I’ve expanded my work into advocacy and education, acting as a bridge between science and survivorship. I also host Kidney Cancer Unfiltered, a podcast from the Kidney Cancer Association, where I share survivor stories and expert insights to empower patients and their families. By the way, I never did get invited back to Romper Room. But I’ve been making noise—and creating change—ever since.
