Biography
I’m an experienced editorial and marketing professional who has performed just about every job one can do in fast-paced print and digital environments. I’ve managed print and digital content (including websites and newsletters) for three publications. As a senior magazine editor I did everything that was needed at the time including stints as managing editor and editor-in-chief due to unforeseen circumstances. As a freelance writer my business and feature stories appear in publications worldwide including the Financial Times and The Economist 1843 Magazine, and as an active contributor to Forbes.com for ten years. As the managing editor for Jacob & Co., a luxury watch and jewelry brand, I performed all of the writing and editing duties for a fast-paced international marketing department on multiple formats, including video. I currently work in the jewelry and watch industry. Prior to working in the jewelry industry, I was a senior editor for an interior design and architecture magazine where I received a first-hand education and appreciation of how good, innovative design can actually make the world a better place. I began my career as an award-winning daily newspaper reporter where I broke stories involving government corruption, racial bias and the abusive practices of judges. I may be dating myself with my extensive work history but my robust social media presence on LinkedIn and Instagram shows that my status throughout the world remains relevant.
