Arin Greenwood is an animal writer, novelist, and former lawyer living in St. Petersburg, Florida, with her husband, Ray, their dog, Murray, and their cats, Elf, Jack, and Chappy. Arin was animal welfare editor for The Huffington Post, and now writes about dogs, cats, and other critters for The Today Show, The Dodo, The Washington Post, Slate, Creative Loafing, the American Bar Association Journal, and other publications. Arin's third novel, Your Robot Dog Will Die, will be published by Soho Teen in April 2018. She is also the author of Tropical Depression and Save the Enemy.

She belonged to a man who wanted to go into treatment, “but the one big barrier to him getting the support he needed was making sure that his dog was cared for,” says Shannon Glenn, executive director of My Pit Bull Is Family, which created the North Minneapolis Pet Resource Center, a pet pantry in Minnesota. Miss KittyHis mother, who Shannon calls J, wanted to help—she wanted her son to get well, and she wanted to help him do that by caring for Miss Kitty.
