I am a proud Hungarian-Canadian late 40s, throwback romantic that loves to write about almost anything. Published with Top Writer designations in Fiction, Food, and Parenting. Co-Editor of the food/recipe blog-Kitchen Tales. Recent accomplishments include taking 1st Place in a short fiction contest for a literary publication, as well as a half dozen Top Story awards in non-fiction categories. Outside of writing, my time is occupied as a father to a young teen daughter, and husband of nearly 20 years. My personal hobbies and interests are led by my 30+ years as a Fly Fisherman, and Fly Tier. Spending a week or two in the high alpine mountains of Alberta and British Columbia, free camping with my daughter and dog are annual high points. Skiing, Hockey, and Archery round out my leisure activities. As a Red Seal Chef, with a career spanning over a dozen years and taking me across the country, my passion and joy for cooking continue. Passing these skills to my daughter is a time we both enjoy and she loves to listen to stories of my Chef days. I have always been a voracious reader, even now I read between three and five novels a month, and though I do read many digital stories and articles, it doesn't compare to holding a book in your hand and feeling the pages flip through your fingers, the smell of ink and paper beneath your nose as you read. Likewise, writing has been a passion that I've dedicated myself to in recent years. With my WIP continuously progressing, I have hopes of completion by the end of 2022 and then seek traditional publishing for my work of Historical Fiction. While fiction is my heartbeat, with romance, and historical fiction my favorite niche, my best received and most-read pieces are non-fiction pieces ranging from parenting and marriage to self-reflective and memoirs. I am committed to pursuing writing as a source of sustainable income and personal joy.
