Biography
Artemis is a Taiwanese writer, activist, scientist, and entrepreneur. At the age of 16, she founded the largest independent nonprofit international news agency in Taiwan. She is also a recipient of the 2016 Harvard Prize Book Award, a European Space Agency project contributor, and a national-award-winning legal aid consultant for disadvantaged people in China. Artemis holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Peking University and a Master of Science in journalism degree from Boston University. At BU, she interned at several news outlets covering education, policy, and equity issues. She held teaching positions at BU College of Communication and later joined Think Academy as an SEL program developer. Fluent in English and Mandarin, Artemis loves to walk into communities and to do fair, accurate reporting with a particular interest in education, social justice, public policy and data analysis / visualization projects. Fun facts about Artemis: She self-funded all her education and living expenses after she turned 18 years old (yes, including undergraduate and graduate tuition). Artemis is a first-generation college and graduate student. She also plays 27 musical instruments.
