Fifth Ave., Café on East 5th officially opened on Thursday. The casual restaurant and bar comes from owners Kevin and Lori Ames, who have run numerous food concepts in the Short North and Downtown over the last decade. Lori and Kevin started working on the space last summer. The eatery is approximately 3,300 square feet and can seat almost 100 people.

Mochinut hosted its grand opening today in the Fifth by Northwest neighborhood at 994 W. Fifth Ave. The shop is known for its mochi donuts made with rice flour, boba, and Korean Rice Hotdogs. This is Mochinut’s second Ohio location, following a Westlake spot near Cleveland that debuted in 2022.
