So, the Indiana Democratic Party held one for them Saturday at Bloomington City Hall and saved an open seat for Rep. Houchin. “[It’s] unfortunate,” said Alex Vitat, who was at Saturday’s event.

Indiana’s population is now estimated to be at 6.92 million people, with nearly 45,000 new residents calling the Hoosier state home in 2024. About 70% of that growth is attributed to a net international migration of 30,852 residents.
