  • What's the Deal With: The Magnus Anderson log cabin?

Its door sits wide open for visitors to poke their heads in and inhale the musty smell of time. A plaque on its side explains the cabin was built in 1869 on the North Fork of the Skagit River by Magnus Anderson, one of Skagit County’s first European settlers. The cabin was moved to La Conner in 1952 by The Skagit Chapter No. ll Daughters Of Pioneers Of Washington, according to an informational sign.
