In that time, I've written and published over 500 stories. I discovered my love for sports as a child, and reinforced my commitment to them by earning a Masters degree in Journalism from DePaul University in June of 2023.

Gardner not only competed in the 100-meter dash, long jump, pole vault and 4x100 relay, but set new personal records in all three individual events. Her coaches credited her strength and explosiveness as reasons she's able to do well in various events. Her contributions helped the Laramie girls total 297.50 points and finish first out of a seven-team field.

  • Laramie fights off East rally with two late goals

    By Austin Edmonds| Wyoming Tribune Eagle Verified LARAMIE — Laramie’s boys soccer team fought off a resilient Cheyenne East for a gritty win Tuesday night at Deti Stadium. Second-half goals from senior Zack Cotterman and junior Diego Villasenor allowed the Plainsmen to hold onto a 4-2 win. The Thunderbirds trailed by two at the half, but they got goals from a pair of team captains to retie the game. The win bumped the Plainsmen to 4-1-2 overall and 2-1-2 in the Class 4A East Conference, while East fell to 1-5-1 and 0-4-1.

  • Wyoming thrower Daniel Reynolds focused on hammer toss to begin outdoor season

    By Austin Edmonds| Wyoming Tribune Eagle Verified LARAMIE — University of Wyoming thrower Daniel Reynolds capped a remarkable indoor track and field season by winning the U.S. Track and Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association’s national indoor field athlete of the year in March. The Granby, Colorado, native put together an undefeated indoor season, winning the NCAA weight throw championship with a heave of 82 feet, 3½ inches. That throw is tied for the second-best mark in collegiate history.
