Biography

I was born in Pennsylvania in 1974, and moved to Israel in 1983. I love to read comic books, and I've viewed various anime productions from Japan as well. I've been very disappointed by the artistic collapse of the comics industry since the turn of the century, and even before, as Marvel and DC have both lost quality, and descended into a total mess. Even more troubling is how the mainstream press doesn't take an objective view of comicdom, and that's why, for years already, I've been studying the biases in comics coverage coming from the mainstream media to see what's wrong with how they write about these things. One could say I like to take a role vaguely similar to Clark Kent/Superman. I don't expect to be perfect in what I do, but I do my best.

Wes Eastin: I remember having Action Comics 678. THEY SAVED LUTHOR’S BRAIN! and being endlessly entertained by the cover and the book itself.

  • How Captain America's Shield is Being Used as an Educational Tool

By Avi Green| Bleeding Fool@ Chemical & Engineering News wrote about how science is employed in comics, and how it can be put to use in education as well:This Newscriptster has always loved a good fantasy epic or sci-fi adventure as an escape from ordinary reality. But sometimes it’s fun to mix fantasy and reality. In fact, there’s a whole subgenre of science communication exploring how stuff from books and movies stacks up against real-world science.

  • Anonymously Produced ‘October 7’ Graphic Novel Mired in Moral Equivalence

By Avi Green| Bleeding Fool@ The Times of Israel reported about a graphic novel being developed with a Canadian academic, and it looks like this product, unfortunately, relies on moral equivalence, blurring the differences between Jewish victims and Islamic aggressors, despite any claims to the contrary:In the annals of graphic novels being written about the stories of those affected by the Hamas terror onslaught of October 7, 2023, “Echoes of October” may be the first in which the creators wish to remain mostly anonymous.
