In 2016, after working as a hairstylist for over a decade, I returned to school to become a writer and journalist. In May 2020, I will graduate from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing. In August 2020, I will begin a nonfiction creative writing MFA fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis. I am an alumnus of The Association of LGBTQ Journalists’ CONNECT Student Journalism Training Project, led by the editorial director of The New York Times’s news desk, Caroline Que. I have worked for GLAAD, DNAinfo New York, AVENUE Magazine, and Frommer's. I am highly skilled in writing and editing, interviewing and reporting, media and political campaign support, social media management, and research. I am proficient in WordPress, Microsoft Suite, G Suite, and all social media platforms.
