Despite a solid effort, it also ended with the same way the season started: With a setback to the rival Syracuse Crunch. Dylan Duke scored the eventual game-winner on the power-play 53 seconds into the third period and Crunch handed the Comets a 3-2 loss in front of an announced crowd of 3,059 to begin the final home-and-home series of the regular season.

Dawes has taken over the top spot for the NCAA Division III Norwich University men's hockey team in Vermont. He departs from Stevenson University, where he held the same head coaching role since the 2016-17 season. Dawes, who played for Thomas R. Proctor High School’s Raiders and Vermont Academy in Saxtons River, Vermont, went on to play defense and forward at Norwich University.

With her second goal in the game, McMahon went over 100 career goals with the Black Knights' varsity squad. McMahon finished with a team-best six goals while adding three assists to help RFA top visiting Clinton 14-7 at RFA Stadium. McMahon, a Division I commit to Vermont for field hockey along with her sister Isi McMahon, also had 11 draw controls and three ground balls.
