Whangamata Area School Boys surfed their way to victory in a tight battle over Bay of Plenty teams from Mount Maunganui College and Tauranga Boys College with Auckland’s Liston College placing fourth in their first finals appearance at the event
Newdick and Paul Secure A1homes NZ Festival of Longboarding Wins and Strengthen ISA Qualification - Surfing New Zealand
By Ben Kennings| NZ Surfing Verified Matt Newdick (Auck) and Gabi Paul have taken out titles at the A1homes NZ Festival of Longboarding held at Papamoa. In doing so, they strengthen their cause for qualification to take part at the ISA World Longboarding Championship being held in El Salvador at the end of April. Newdick was defending champion in the Men’s Division while Paul went one better than her runner-up finish in 2024 to beat friend and 2024 NZ representative Hannah Kohn (Gis)
