This year, Tom Wilson won his second award, ending Dylan Strome’s two-year streak. Each eligible media member votes on three players. Sammi Silber of The Hockey News presented Wilson with the award in the locker room. Wilson then gave a speech, though only teammate Jakub Chychrun was in the locker room, changing out of his gear.

On Thursday, former Cap, former Hurricane and always an enigma Alex Semin did the challenge. Of course, he got all nine targets, but came up short of beating Peter Bondra’s alumni record. Semin did it in 14 seconds. Semin then yelled ‘Let’s go Caps!’ and high-fived host Annie Mae.
