An unveiling and dedication of the World War I and World War II Veterans Memorial Bridge took place on West Park Avenue next to St. Patrick Parish. More than 50 people attended the ceremony. “As we continue our tradition of honoring our veterans here in the city of Hubbard, we are able to present this bridge to our veterans,” Mayor Ben Kyle said.

  • Soothing the mind

    By Bob Coupland| The Vindicator Verified HUBBARD — A special garden area at the Hubbard Public Library for people to sit and relax, read a book or eat lunch is getting a new look with a planned $86,000 remodeling project. Library Director Lorena Hegedus said the sensory garden, located near the children’s room, opened in 2015. The space, she said, “appeals to sounds, touch and smells. We have windchimes there, which are calming,” she said. Hegedus said after nine years, it was time for the garden to be improved.
