I am the associate director of the Governing Institute, the executive editor of FutureStructure as well as a co-founder of e.Republic, the parent company of Governing. As associate director I write, present, moderate and provide advice on smart and sustainable approaches to water, waste, energy, transportation and building systems drawing from more than 25 years of experience working with private sector companies, nonprofits and state and local governments. As executive editor of FutureStructure I oversee the magazine’s content direction and work to identify, archive and share innovations in science and practice that can help governments design and plan resilient, healthy and vibrant communities.
