By Bob Iverson Verified| WITY-AM (Danville, IL) Verified Downtown Danville will be very different in the future due to the action taken last night by the Danville City Council. Aldermen approved a plan to demolish Bresee Tower and to purchase the former Old National Bank building and move city hall there. The city was the winning bidder in a recent auction for the old bank building across Main Street from the current city hall. The city purchase price was 425 thousand dollars with another 21 thousand dollars in transaction fees.
