Washington-based journalist who has worked in some of the country's best newsrooms. Currently a reporter for the Boston Globe in the nation's capital. I'v covered most everything there is to cover. At the Sacramento Bee, I covered health care, did a stint on the copy desk, and covered the Iraq war for McClatchy Newspapers in 2007. I grew up on a dairy farm, located on the southeastern flanks of the majestic Koolau Mountains. I attended high school in Honolulu, then jetted to New York City to attend my first of college at NYU. I finished my education at the University of California, Berkeley, and am a long-suffereing fan of the Golden Bears. I'm a former fellow of the International Center for Journalists, which gave me an opportunity to do reporting on the millions of unexploded US bombs scattered throughout Laos.
