NC State University predicts that the Atlantic basin, which encompasses the Atlantic Ocean as well as the Gulf and Caribbean, will see 12-15 named storms, putting it just below Colorado State University’s prediction of 17 named storms and roughly in line with AccuWeather’s call of 13 to 18.
